Q: Please tell me something interesting about yourself?
I have worked at the Canada Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) for over 24 years. Prior to that I worked for the federal offshore regulator the Canada Oil and Gas Lands Administration.

 Q: Why is geoscience research important?
Geoscience research is essential, as it allows us to better understand the geology and hydrocarbon potential of the Nova Scotia offshore area.

Q: If there was one thing you’d want people to understand about your work, what would it be?
CNSOPB geoscientists conduct ongoing research to improve the understanding of Nova Scotia’s offshore geology, petroleum systems and hydrocarbon resource potential.

Q: What are people most surprised about when you discuss your work?
People are often impressed by the calibre of research conducted by CNSOPB geoscientists.
