Q: Please tell me something interesting about yourself?
I’ve lived in eight cities in four provinces in Canada.

Q: What drew you to the tidal energy industry?
Industrial application of my more theoretical background (in geophysical fluid dynamics).

Q: Why will tidal energy succeed in Nova Scotia, Canada and Internationally?
Predictability and base load potential of the resource.

Q: If there was one thing you’d want people to understand about your research, what would it be?
X-band radar doesn’t penetrate the water surface (much), but information from the depth is clearly manifest at the water surface.

Q: What would your colleagues say will be the most interesting point from your presentation?
The clear presence of long subsurface wakes, are of great interest in itself, but also demonstrating the ability to detect subsurface turbines’ wakes.
