Q: Please tell me something interesting about yourself?
I am a geologist that applies geomatics technology to coastal process problems.

Q: Why is tidal energy so important?
It is renewable and clean.

Q: If there was one thing you’d want people to understand about your work, what would it be?
Our mapping technology is required to map the nearshore topography which is important to understand water circulation and movement, thus required for modelling and infrastructure development.

Q: What will be the most important take away be from your presentation?
Topo-bathy LIDAR for mapping the nearshore to support hydrodynamic models and infrastructure development.

Q: Why should someone attend your presentation?
NSCC is the only Canadian academic institution that has a topo-bathy LIDAR instrument of which there are only a handful in the world. The AGRG-NSCC have developed local expertise in the data collection, processing and application of these data for coastal circulation models.
