Analysis of Petroleum Systems on the Scotia Shelf using Thermal & Seismic Techniques

Principal Investigators:

Dr. Keith Louden, Dalhousie University

Start Date:       August 2007

End Date:       July 2010

This project will lead to a better understanding of the nature of basement and salt structures and their effect on petroleum maturation.  It will also provide the groundwork for seismic characterization and sedimentary physical properties for improved definition of petroleum reservoirs.
